Know More About Grasses and Irrigation Methods
New homeowner? Have a deep well or live near the beach? If you haven’t already done so, get your irrigation water tested and check the salt content for free at your local pool store for instant results!
If you notice problematic areas in your grass and have automatic irrigation, turn on your irrigation and watch the sprinkler coverage area to assure that every area receives water. Sprinkler heads can have plants grow over them, causing them to malfunction.
Lawn maintenance edgers and mowers can also possibly cause damage to sprinkler heads. The best time of the day to water is very early in the morning, or if not possible, then in the evening. Don’t run your irrigation on a hot afternoon because that will quickly evaporate your irrigated water!
Did You Know? Less than 25% of pets that eat grass will vomit regularly after grazing. The reasons a pet might be eating grass include improving digestion, treating intestinal worms, or fulfilling some unmet nutritional need, including the need for fiber.
Bermuda and zoysia are ideal for dog lovers!
